Posted on

Maite, the daughter of Lola Casademunt and current creative director of the brand that this year celebrates its 40th anniversary, has brought the gardens of Versalles to the MBFW Madrid catwalk with textures, colors and volumes that evoke them.

“The magic of the gardens of Versailles has been the main source of inspiration for this ideal collection for today's woman, with fresh, comfortable and sophisticated garments; for that woman who likes to celebrate and dare with color and prints ”, Maite Casademunt assures in her press release.

The collection, created to celebrate spring and prepare for the arrival of summer 2022, has flourished on the Madrid catwalk using the geometric, vegetal and colorful aesthetic that inspired the gardens of Versailles and with which the designer of this Spanish firm has achieved maintain your brand identity that always stands out for being colorful, jovial and cheerful.

From Maite's proposal, the shorts stand out, basic of the spring / summer season, which are gaining more and more ground on the international catwalks and to which the designer has transferred the tone of the collection both in its more pajamas and colorful version as in more daring skin-like textures. And it is that by means of technical fabrics in net and eco-leather it seeks to give a more daring touch to the fabrics of the season.

Also identifying icons of the brand are its flowing garments, its pieces filled with the logo of the house, the paisley print in different shapes or the viscose chiffons that provide Renaissance vaporousness to hyper feminine dresses. All this with extra-long, wide and comfortable volumes, in a palette of bright and vivid colors such as fuchsia, green or orange.

Several swimwear looks have completed the proposal, where the bikini is king and is worn in a very specific way, under an open shirt. A duo that we have seen in recent summers and that, everything points to, will continue in force next year.

In this edition of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the brand has once again had the presence of the national and international model Nieves Álvarez, who in addition to opening and closing the fashion show, has just become the face of its latest “Call Me Lola ”.
