Colombiamoda and Colombiatex will be done simultaneously to recover the textile industry.
Everything is ready for a special edition of Colombiatex and Colombiamoda 2021 that, for the first time, will be held simultaneously between July 27 and 29 in Plaza Mayor de Medellín.
On Tuesday morning, Inexmoda and the Medellín Mayor's Office made the official presentation of the news of both events that move the box of the textile industry.
“With the realization of Colombiatex + Colombiamo-da 2021 we want to transmit a message of unity and hope, showing that together we can move forward. I am convinced that we will have, economically, an important second semester that will continue to promote the textile, clothing and fashion industries ”, explained Carlos Eduardo Botero Hoyos, Executive President of Inexmoda.
About 400 exhibitors from Colombia, Brazil, the United States, Peru and Argentina and from departments such as Antioquia, Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca, Santander and César will meet in a specialized trade show that will feature the entire value chain of the fashion system, from textiles, supplies, machinery, complete package, specialized services up to jeanswear, children, formal / casual, intimate / control, sleepwear, sports / beachwear, footwear / leather goods and costume jewelery.
To boost business, the exhibitors will meet with nearly 4,000 national and international buyers from countries such as Ecuador, the United States, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico and Peru and from departments such as Antioquia, Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca, Norte de Santander and Risaralda.
All of them will have business meetings digitally, from July 19 to August 6, through the Virtual Business Platform, a tool that will facilitate about 6,000 appointments and some 25,000 business contacts.
"This fair for Medellín means having a hotel occupancy between 65% and 70%, commercially reactivate the entire entertainment sector and begin to recover the jobs lost by the pandemic," said the Secretary of Economic Development, Alejandro Arias.
Finally, the public interested in fashion issues can take advantage of the 20 conferences of the Inexmoda-Sapiencia Knowledge Pavilion. They will be through www.colombiatex.com and www.colombiamoda.com.
As part of Colombiamoda there will be 16 catwalks and digital staging.
The first will be on July 26 with the opening catwalk: Mira de Nuevo, by Diego Guarnizo for the Avon Foundation for Women.
The staging will be completed by collaborations such as that of Beatriz Camacho with the technology brand vivo, and Éxito with MAZ.
From the academy there will be the Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana, the Universidad de Medellín, the Colegiatura and the Andean Area, which join this fashionable scene with their young talent.
On the other hand, commercial brands such as GEF, Punto Blanco, Offcorss, Truccos, Belleza Absurda and La Petite Mort will also be presented in this axis through digital staging; and emerging fashion talent will join the special edition through spaces such as El Cubo and the catwalk run by the Medellín Mayor's Office with the Épica project that will feature the One Half brand.
On July 29, the last day of the edition, the catwalk that will close the event will be: Stories Made By Hand Socarrás and Coca Cola.
